Kroos on Germany's comeback win over Greece: "We made too many mistakes"
Toni Kroos has shared his thoughts on Germany's 2-1 win over Greece.
Germany won their final friendly before Euro 2024 2-1 over Greece, but the performance wasn't exactly convincing.
Toni Kroos admitted as much in an interview with RTL after the final whistle.
“We made too many mistakes. We were a bit too relaxed. We improved a lot after that,” the 34-year-old midfielder said.
“You know that bad halves are part of football,” he added.
"But we also knew that we aren't as good as we were in March, but we weren't as bad as we were before."
Back then, Germany beat France 2-0 and the Netherlands 2-1.
Germany kick off their European campaign against Scotland next Friday and will be hoping to put on a better display.
“Everyone knows their roles, that will always help a team," Kroos concluded.
