A poor run of form has seen RB Leipzig slip out of the Champions League places, with Die Roten Bullen currently sitting sixth in the Bundesliga.

And Marco Rose's team fail to qualify for Europe's premier club competition, the consequences for the club could be huge.

According to Sport Bild, it would leave a gap in the budget of between €40-60 million, which would have to be filled by selling players.

In any case, the aim is to generate revenue from the sale of one key player, but if the goal of qualifying for the Champions League is missed, it could be several.

Xavi Simons, Benjamin Sesko and Castello Lukeba are among those who could be up for sale.

In addition, David Raum and Lois Openda are said to be considering moves away from the club and could also be offloaded.
