Borussia Dortmund extended their winning run in the Bundesliga to six games with a 4-0 success over Mainz on Friday night. Head coach Niko Kovac shared his delight in a post-match interview with RTL.

“We're delighted with the win,” said the 54-year-old as Dortmund also won six back-to-back league games in front of home support. “It was hard-earned (victory). The first half was even, but we were more efficient.

“We steered the game in the right direction with our set pieces. Everyone has a role to play on set pieces. And, at the moment, the lads are doing a really good job. When the deliveries are like that, it's difficult for any team to defend. I'm pleased that it's paying off after all the hours of set-piece training.”

Dortmund will host Atalanta in the first-leg of the Champions League playoff tie on Tuesday before facing RB Leipzig away from home in the Bundesliga. They’ll go head-to-head with league leaders Bayern Munich following the return fixture in Bergamo.
