A return to the Bundesliga could be on the cards for former SC Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken.

According to Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen have expressed an interest in Flekken, and talks have already taken place over a possible move.

The report goes on to claim that an offer of around €15 million would be needed to convince Brentford to sell the 31-year-old Dutchman, who is understood to be open to a move back to Germany.

Flekken have played a total of 32 games for Brentford this season.

Bayer Leverkusen are looking for a replacement for their ageing first-choice goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky, 35.

Olympiacos' Konstantinos Tzolakis, Manchester City's Stefan Ortega Moreno and Espanyol's Joao Garcia have also been linked with the German champions.

Reports have suggested that Die Werkself's current second-choice goalkeeper, Matej Kovar, no longer has a future at the club.
