Report: Newcastle consider move for Gnabry

Serge Gnabry is being linked with a move to Newcastle United.

Newcastle United are weighing up a move for Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry, according to the Daily Mirror.

The report claims that the Magpies could launch a €47 million bid for the 29-year-old, whose future at Bayern is in doubt.

Gnabry is one of a number of Bayern players who have been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The Bavarians are undergoing a considerable overhaul and have already confirmed three signings in Hiroki Ito, Michael Olise and Joao Palhinha.

Olise, like Gnabry, is a winger and will provide stiff competition for the 29-year-old if he decides to stay,

In an interview with Sky Germany in June, Gnabry said he could definitely see himself staying at Bayern for the long term.

“We are looking forward to the new season. We have all put last season behind us. Last season wasn't good for us and for me personally, with all the injuries and so on. That's why we all want to attack again. The cards will be reshuffled and we'll do our best next season,” he said.
