Klostermann urges RB Leipzig to stay focused on themselves

Lukas Klostermann has urged RB Leipzig to stay focused on themselves after a poor start to the season.
Lukas Klostermann believes RB Leipzig must remain focused on themselves instead of looking at how their competitors are doing.

"I'm not interested in how far we are behind other clubs in the table," Klostermann told web.de ahead of RB Leipzig's clash with Hertha BSC today.

"We have to look at ourselves so that we can win games again. That's the number one goal. That's why it doesn't make sense to look at other teams. It's still very early in the season, too."

Despite the fact that 12th-placed Leipzig have taken just four points from their first five league games this season, Klostermann doesn't think their squad has been weakened too much by the departures of Dayot Upamecano, Marcel Sabitzer and Ibrahima Konaté.

"We have signed players who have the potential to step into their roles," said Klostermann.

"We didn't always do well as a team in recent games. We weren't missing individual qualities. We know we can do better as a team, and I'm sure we'll do better in the future."
