Matchday 7 – team of the week (4-4-2):

Goalkeeper: Kevin Trapp, Eintracht Frankfurt
His best game since returning to Frankfurt. Kept out attempts from Kerim Demirbay and Ishak Belfodil with great saves to earn Frankfurt a hard-fought 2-1 win.

Right-back: Achraf Hakimi, Borussia Dortmund (2)
Defensively a bit shaky, but once again very convincing going forward. Linked up very well with Jadon Sancho on Dortmund's right side and set-up Götze's goal with a clever pass.

Centre-back: Matthias Ginter, Borussia Mönchengladbach (3)
Strong performance by Gladbach's defensive boss in the 3-0 win over Bayern München. Won a lot of duels, positioned himself well and found a teammate with 82 percent of his passes.

Centre-back: Naldo, Schalke 04
After struggling to recreate his form of last season, the veteran showed himself from his best side in the 2-0 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf. Strong in the positional play, won a lot of tackles and did well to bring the ball forward from the back.

Left-back: Philipp Max, Augsburg
Showed what a big offensive threat he can be with a goal and an assist against Dortmund.

Right midfielder: Ihlas Bebou, Hannover 96
The lightning quick winger was very active on the right side in the 3-1 win over Stuttgart. Handled his defensive reponsibility well and went forward when he was needed in the offense. Closed the game with a cool finish.

Central midfielder: Jonas Hofmann, Borussia Mönchengladbach (2)
The former Dortmund midfielder hasn't caught the eye of Germany coach Joachim Löw for nothing. Worked hard and covered a lot of ground in the 3-0 win over Bayern München in which he assisted two goals.

Central midfielder: Marcel Sabitzer, RB Leipzig
Impressed with two goals in RB Leipzig's 6-0 win over FC Nürnberg.

Left midfielder: Timo Werner, RB Leipzig (2)
A constant threat on the left. Scored twice and won a penalty after running past the entire Nürnberg defense. Werner missed the penalty, but that didn't change the fact that he delivered an excellent performance.

Striker: Paco Alcacer, Borussia Dortmund
Was sent on the field after about an hour and bagged a hattrick to secure a 4-3 win over Augsburg. The Barcelona loanee has now netted six times in three Bundesliga matches and has scored a goal every 14th minute he has been on the pitch in the league on average.

Striker: Luka Jovic, Eintracht Frankfurt
Played a vital role for 'Die Adler' with a goal and an assist in the 2-1 win over Hoffenheim.
