Recently, Express.de reported that Bayern München have made contact with former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane who is said to be seen as a possible replacement for Niko Kovac.

However, according to Bild, Bayern have had no recent contact with the former French international.

"The rumor is false according to our information. Bayern have not made contact with Zinedine Zidane," Bild journalist Christian Falk states.

Zidane, 46, was hired as Real Madrid coach in January 2016 and parted company with the club at the end of last season.

Recently, Zidane's agent, Alain Migliaccio, made it clear that his client is currently not interested in taking a new job.

"He has decided to take a year off. He will not take a new job until then," Migliaccio told the French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche on Sunday.
