Report: Reyna return at least 2-3 weeks away

Journalist Roger Gonzalez of CBS Sports cites his own sources close to the club in claiming that American attacker Giovanni Reyna will be sidelined at least through the end of the month.
Giovanni Reyna has not made it back to Borussia Dortmund's training pitch since suffering a muscle tear in his rear thigh away on international duty in September. The 18-year-old has thus not played for his club team since round three of the current campaign.

Official reports from the BVB remain scarce. Initially ruled out for the duration of September, the NRW club provided no further updates on Reyna's condition through the month of October.

Approximately ten days ago, local newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten reported that Reyna's return to the training pitch could be imminent; even that the American teenager might have been available for the past weekend's round eight clash with FSV Mainz 05.

According to Roger Gonzalez of CBS Sports, Reyna is actually 2-3 weeks away from a return to training. This would put the attacker out of action through the final two league rounds of October, the next DFB Pokal fixture, the next two UCL matches, and potentially leave him questionable for the November international break.

Gonzalez also refers to a hamstring injury as opposed to a thigh muscle tear.
