Greuther Fürth break record for worst start to a Bundesliga season

Greuther Fürth's one point from their opening 11 games is the worst start ever to a Bundesliga season.
With their 1-2 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday, Greuther Fürth set an unwanted record.

Fürth have managed to take just one point from their first 11 games this season, the worst start ever to a Bundesliga season.

"It is not explainable for me. I believe that we should have significantly more points than this one point," said Greuther Fürth coach Stefan Leitl after last night's loss to Frankfurt.

Like Fürth, 1. FC Saarbrücken had just one point after their opening 10 games in the 1963/64, but their point tally went up on Matchday 11, meaning that 'Die Kleeblätter' have now had the poorest start to a Bundesliga season ever.
