André Silva: "We executed everything we wanted to do"

RB Leipzig forward André Silva has shared his thoughts on his side's impressive 5-0 away victory over Club Brugge.
André Silva says RB Leipzig did exactly what they wanted to do in their crushing 5-0 victory over Club Brugge in the Champions League last night.

In addition to Dani Olmo and Yussuf Poulsen, RB Leipzig were without their captain, Peter Gulacsi, and head coach, Jesse Marsch, as they tested positive for COVID-19 the day before the game. But that didn't stop 'Die Roten Bullen' from winning the game comfortably.

"The win was more than deserved, we executed everything we wanted to do," said Silva, who made it 3-0.

"We wanted that win, and it has given us a lot of strength. I am very happy to have scored. It was a nice goal and to score in the Champions League always feels special."

In their next game, Silva and Leipzig face Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
