Trio in line to return to the Bayern squad

Bayern München will be boosted by the returns of Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Michael Cuisance for tomorrow's clash with Arminia Bielefeld.
Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and Michael Cuisance are in line to return to the Bayern München squad for Saturday's Bundesliga game against Arminia Bielefeld.

The trio missed Bayern's 2-1 win over Dynamo Kiev in mid-week as they were self-quarantining after being in contact with a person, who had tested positive for COVID-19.

But since the three players have all tested negative ahead of the game, they will be available, revealed Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann at the pre-match press conference.

"Serge, Jamal and Michael have all tested negative. They will be able to leave quarantine at midnight, which means they can be part of our squad tomorrow. They're not really options for the start, but at least we have three alternatives on the bench, and that's a good thing for us," said Nagelsmann.

Meanwhile, Niklas Süle and Josip Stanisic have both recovered from the virus, but are unlikely to start.

"They don't have any problems, but they were both ill. 'Stani' had very, very few symptoms, a bit of a cold. Niklas didn't have extreme symptoms, but he was ill. He hasn't trained much. They made a good impression, but they're not candidates to play from the start," underlined Nagelsmann.

In addition to Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Joshua Kimmich, who tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week, Bayern will be without Tanguy Nianzou, Marcel Sabitzer and Bouna Sarr.
