Matchday 27 – team of the week (4-4-2):

Goalkeeper: Ralf Fährmann, Schalke 04
A calm and confident presence as always. Made sure Schalke kept a clean sheet for the third match in a row as he kept out Paul Verhaegh's penalty in the 1-0 win over Wolfsburg.

Right-back: Lukasz Piszczek, Borussia Dortmund
Very active on Dortmund's right side. Was a lot on the ball and took part in many offensive moves.

Central defender: Jorge Mere, FC Köln
Very solid display in FC Köln's back-four as 'The Billy Goats' kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

Central defender: Matthias Ginter, Borussia Mönchengladbach
Hoffenheim scored three times against Gladbach, but Ginter certainly wasn't to blame. The defender won 86 percent of his duels and brought the ball well forward from the defense. And of course, he scored the 3-3 equaliser to earn Gladbach a point.

Left-back: Nico Schulz, Hoffenheim
Schulz has been impressive lately, and he had another great game in the weekend as he was once again very involved in Hoffenheim's offensive play. Nearly scored, but was unlucky to hit the crossbar.

Right midfielder: Ishak Belfodil, Werder Bremen
The Algerian, who was deployed on Werder's right wing, had a foot in every goal as he netted twice and made an assist in the 3-1 win against Augsburg.

Central midfielder: Naby Keita, RB Leipzig
Very decisive with a goal and an assist as RB Leipzig turned 0-1 to 2-1 against Bayern München.

Central midfielder: Dennis Aogo, Stuttgart
Never stopped running and won a lot of duels in the centre of the park. Also provided an assist.

Left midfielder: Leonardo Bittencourt, FC Köln
Had a great game on the last flank and sent many dangerous crosses into the Leverkusen box. He was behind the assist for Yuya Osako's 1-0 goal.

Striker: Luka Jovic, Frankfurt
Mainz couldn't control the 20-year-old at all. Scored once, but could have had more goals in the 3-0 win as he was a constant threat.

Striker Mario Gomez, Stuttgart
The veteran striker can't stop scoring. Continued his good form with two goals in the 2-1 win over Freiburg.
