Julian Nagelsmann: "We deserved to win"

Bayern München were worthy winners of tonight's clash with Borussia Dortmund, according to Julian Nagelsmann.
Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann has shared his thoughts on Saturday's 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

After recovering from conceding an early goal, Bayern were 2-1 up at the break before Erling Haaland equalised at the beginning of the second half.

While the score was 2-2, Dortmund controversially had a penalty call turned down, and Bayern later scored the winning goal from the penalty spot through Robert Lewandowski after Mats Hummels was adjudged to have handled the ball.

"I think we deserved to win but I also understand the discussions over the two penalty situations," Nagelsmann said after the game, according to Reuters.

"It was a very tight game that was worthy of its reputation. We could have scored more in the first half.

"Dortmund did it well early in the second half, but we found our rhythm again and had good control."
