Christophner Nkunku and André Silva have tested positive for COVID-19. Meanwhile, Nordi Mukiele, Benjamin Henrichs and Dani Olmo are staying at home for the time being as their test results were unclear.
RB Leipzig have been dealt a massive blow ahead of the second half of the season as André Silva and Christopher Nkunku have both tested positive for COVID-19 during the Christmas break.

"Once their quarantine is over, they will return to Leipzig. They will be tested once again and undergo medical tests before rejoining training," said a statement from the club.

Solomon Bonnah returned a positive test on January 2 and is also self-isolating.

In addition, Nordi Mukiele, Benjamin Henrichs and Dani Olmo are staying at home for the time being as the results of their tests were unclear.

"They will all be tested again today (3rd Jan) and are staying at home until the results are known," said Leipzig in a statement.

All other players and staff members tested negative.

In other news, RB Leipzig have announced that Marco Kurth is no longer part of the club's coaching team.

"After constructive discussions during the winter break, the 43-year-old has been released from his role as assistant coach," a statement read.
