Tiago Tomás is headed to Baden-Württemberg, leaving VfL Wolfsburg and signing with VfB Stuttgart on a four-year contract.

It is a return to Stuttgart for Tomás, who played for Die Schwaben in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons; this was on loan from Primeira Liga side and his former academy club, Sporting CP.

Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Wolfsburg will receive €11 million for the 23-year-old Portuguese forward, and will also receive a €2 million bonus; this brings the total to €13 million, which is €1 million above Tomás' current market value.

Tomás will be completing his medical at the MHP Arena this weekend, and once he passes, he will then sign the contract in-person and be unveiled as Stuttgart's newest player.

Tomás was involved in 32 matches in the 2024/25 Bundesliga season, finishing with six goals and an assist. Between 2023 and 2025, he played 65 matches in all competitions for Wolfsburg, finishing with nine goals and five assists.
