Shortly after confirming the loan-cancellation of left-back Lennart Czyborra, Bielefeld introduced their new addition at the position. Atlanta United fullback George Bello moves to East Westphalia on a contract through the end of the 2025/26 season. Reports on the transfer fee--after wild high and low estimates reported yesterday--now mostly settle in the €600,000 range. Bello himself will be highly remunerated and there is talk of an exit clause in the contract.

German footballing magazine Kicker reports that Bello chose Bielefeld over Belgian club Cercle Brugge in part because he received some promises of playing time. If the six-times capped senior USMNT international can secure a regular role under DSC trainer Frank Kramer, his chances of earning a permanent spot in Gregg Berhalter's starting XI will certainly increase.

"We've been keeping tabs on George's development for quite some time and are very pleased that the opportunity has arisen," DSC sporting director Samir Arabi noted during the deal's introduction, "He brings with him excellent developmental potential and we're very excited.

"He's a great kid who brings that typical American euphoric attitude and wants to make a difference," coach Kramer added.

"A dream comes true for me in joining Arminia," Bello himself said, "I always wanted to play football in Europe. I can't wait to get started and am really looking forward to the Bundesliga."
