Tolisso expected to leave Bayern after suffering new injury setback

Sport1 and Bild report that Bayern München look unlikely to extend Corentin Tolisso's expiring contract.
Corentin Tolisso is expected to leave Bayern München on a free transfer in the summer of suffering a new injury setback, according to Sport1 and Bild.

Since joining Bayern on a five-year deal from Olympique Lyon for €41.5 million in 2017, Tolisso has never really managed to nail down a starting spot, with injuries marring his five-year stint at Allianz Arena.

Tolisso has played consistently in recent weeks, though, filling in for Leon Goretzka, but the Frenchman's chances of being handed a new deal has suffered a blow as he's now expected to be out for around a month due to a torn muscle fibre.

According to Bild, Tolisso is demanding around €16 million per season to extend his contract. The Bayern bosses, however, reportedly believe that's too much money for an injury prone player, who has never really managed to unlock his full potential.
