Report: UEFA to cancel RB Leipzig's Europa League tie with Spartak

Bild reports that RB Leipzig are automatically through to the Europa League quarter-finals as their last-16 opponent, Spartak Moscow, will be excluded from the competition by UEFA.
RB Leipzig's Europa League clash with Spartak Moscow will be canceled, according to Bild.

Per the German tabloid, Spartak will be thrown out of the tournament due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

This means that Leipzig will automatically advance to the quarter-finals.

The decision is expected to be announced in the near future.

"We are still in close exchange with the associations and have full confidence in UEFA & their decision. We assume that the matches will be cancelled," said RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff.
