Mainz want Dortmund game postponed after COVID-19 outbreak
Sunday's game between Mainz and Borussia Dortmund might not take place as planned.
Mainz 05 have asked the German Football League (DFL) to postpone Sunday's game against Borussia Dortmund.
The Bundesliga side confirmed today that an application has been submitted to the DFL for the postponement of the match following a COVID-19 outbreak in their squad.
"I'll go out on a limb and think that the request will be granted," Mainz boss Christian Heidel said at a press conference today.
A total of 19 members of Mainz's first team set-up have returned positive tests ahead of the game. 13 of them are players, Heidel revealed today.
