Nagelsmann: "A point was fair for both teams"

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann felt a draw was a fair result against Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann has shared his thoughts on Saturday's 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen.

Nagelsmann's troops took the lead through Niklas Süle, but had to settle for a draw after a bizarre own goal from Thomas Müller.

"The first half hour was very good from us. We were in good control during that spell. Then we conceded an avoidable goal. After that, we were lucky not to concede a second goal. We made too many simple mistakes," Nagelsmann told reporters.

"In the second half, Leverkusen defended deep and had three good chances on the counter. We were missing the final touch. I think in the end a point was fair for both teams, even though, of course, both wanted to win.

"Thomas Müller is not happy, but not super depressed either. It was unfortunate, it happens to the best. He won't be upset for a long time."
