Confirmed: Fosu-Mensah out for "several weeks"

Leverkusen head-coach Gerardo Seoane notified members of the assembled media that Timothy Fosu-Mensah may have incurred a serious injury while speaking at his Friday presser. On Saturday, the club officially confirmed that the Dutch defender would be out of "several weeks" with a muscle tendon injury in his right thigh.

The loss of Fosu-Mensah, combined with that of Jeremie Frimpong earlier in the week, leaves Germany's red company team without quite a bit of pace on their right hand side in the near-term. Seaone discussed some potential solutions at his most recent press conference, including possibly moving Mitchel Bakker over to the left or starting Odilon Kossounou at fullback.
