Nmecha: Relegation battle "becoming more and more real" for Wolfsburg

Lukas Nmecha acknowledges that Wolfsburg have been sucked into the relegation battle.
VfL Wolfsburg missed an opportunity to take a step away from the Bundesliga's drop zone as they fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat against relegation rivals Augsburg at WWK Arena today.

With six games to play this season, 'Die Wölfe' sit 13th, just five points above Arminia Bielefeld in the relegation play-off spot.

"[The relegation battle] is becoming more and more real," admitted Wolfsburg striker Lukas Nmecha in a post-match interview with Bundesliga.com.

"But we know we have the players to get out of this situation. We have a game next week, and we need to win it, so that's what we're looking to do now," added the striker.

Wolfsburg have another relegation six-pointer coming up next week as they lock horns with Arminia Bielefeld at home.
