Report: Tolisso sidelined again for several weeks

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that FC Bayern München midfielder Corentin Tolisso has suffered his fourth muscle injury of the season.

A new injury sustained in Saturday's victory over Freiburg looks to sideline Corentin Tolisso for a period of about three to four weeks. Germany's Sport Bilde reports that the Frenchman suffered a muscle tear in his left thigh. The 27-year-old entered the weekend encounter as substitute, yet had to be subbed off himself after 23 minutes of late relief.

After suffering multiple injury setbacks in the past year, Tolisso's most recent setback in February seemed to confirm that the midfielder would be headed for the exit door at Bayern. Yet another issue likely leaves the German giants even less interested in extending Tolisso's expiring contract.

The 2018 World Cup Winner has made 20 appearances across all competitions for the FCB this year, scoring twice and contributing two assists.
