Kickoff time and brodcast rights for Gladbach-Ukraine benefit match set

Official kickoff time for Borussia Mönchengladbach's exhibition fixture against the Ukrainian national football team has been set for 20:45 on May 11th.

The game will be broadcast on German free-TV station ProSieben.
Further details and a set kickoff time for Borussia Mönchengladbach's benefit match against the Ukrainian national football team were released yesterday. The match will kick-off at 20:45 next Wednesday, May the 11th. Just as was the case with a  charity match held by Borussia Dortmund in mid-April, Gladbach have sold the broadcast rights to one of Germany's free-TV channels.

This particular game will be carried by Germany's "ProSieben". Former Gladbach stadium announcer Matthias Opdenhövel will supply the play-by-play commentary. Commenting on the deal, ProSieben executive Daniel Rosemann called the agreement to show the match in prime-time "a personal honor" and noted that "signals that we won't forget the suffering of the Ukrainian people must continue."

All proceeds from the fixture will be donated to relief efforts. Dortmund's hosting of Dynamo Kiev on April 14th raised some €400,000 for the cause.

Tickets can be secured for as little as €7.50.

All Ukrainian refugees and citizens may attend the match free of charge.
