Yussuf Poulsen has told Kicker that he will "definitely" stay at RB Leipzig beyond the summer despite making just 12 Bundesliga starts through the 2021/22 season.

"Unfortunately, I was not top fit too often during the season. I was already injured when I returned from the European Championship, and I then had two longer breaks during the season due to muscle injuries and other minor issues," said Poulsen.

"Therefore, I have optimized some things, and don't believe that next season will be the same. I'll be contributing with more goals and assists again."

Poulsen, 27, is Leipzig's record appearance holder, having featured 329 times for the club since 2013.
