Union Updates: Eisernen prepare to bring in Thorsby and offload Endo

Germany's main sporting tabloid and Italian transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio report that 1. FC Union Berlin are on the verge of securing their 10th summer signing in the form of Norwegian central midfielder Morten Thorsby.

Meanwhile, It looks to be the case the Japanese attacker Keita Endo is headed to Eintracht Braunschweig in the second division.
Still flush with cash from the Taiwo Awoniyi sale, Germany's Köpenick capital city side is reportedly ready to shell out approximately €4 million for Norwegian central midfielder Morten Thorsby. The 26-year-old 17-times capped international has been playing for Sampdoria Genoa since 2019, scoring eight goals and chipping in three assists in 98 appearances over three seasons for the Serie A club.

Thorsby's transfer is already through according to both Germany's Sport Bild and Italian transfer expert Gianluca di Marzio. Sport Bild further reports that Union have reached an agreement with second division proved side Eintracht Braunschweig for the offloading of 24-year-old Japanese attacker Keita Endo.

Endo fell into a scantly used supplementary role for Urs Fischer's Eisernen last season, making just four appearances despite the fact that the club went deep into the DFB Pokal and also played UEFA Conference League fixtures. Whether Endo will be loaned out or outright sold to Braunschweig is not known at this time.
