Dortmund to receive sell-on fee as Gomez signs for Man City

Transfermarkt claims that Borussia Dortmund will receive 15 percent of the €13 million transfer fee Manchester City have agreed to pay to sign Sergio Gomez from Anderlecht.
Yesterday, former Borussia Dortmund player Sergio Gomez's move from Anderlecht to Manchester City was confirmed.

Manchester City put €13 million on the table to sign the 21-year-old, and Transfermarkt now reports that Borussia Dortmund will receive 15 percent of that fee – around €2 million – because of a sell-on clause.

Gomez joined Borussia Dortmund from Barcelona's youth ranks back in January 2018. He made three appearances for BVB's senior side before he left the club permanently to join Anderlecht for €1.5 million in the summer of 2021.

He emerged as a key player for the Belgian side, scoring seven goals and providing 15 assists in 49 games.
