Report: Joel Pohjanpalo heading to Italy
After numerous reports stating he may move to Köln, Leverkusen forward Joel Pohjanpalo is nearing a deal with Venezia FC, per Sky Italia.
According to Sky Italia, Leverkusen striker Joel Pohjanpalo is off to Serie B side Venezia FC instead of FC Köln. A three-year contract will be signed after his medical check that is scheduled for Thursday. The move will likely be free of charge, as Pohjanpalo's contract expires next summer.
Pohjanpalo has been on quite the loan spell, as he's never been able to find stable footing at the BayArena club. The 27-year-old has only featured in 28 games for Leverkusen.
