German footballing magazine Kicker reports that, when Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Bayern München meet in this evening's "Top-Spiel", 18-year-old attacking midfielder Gabriel Vidovic will not be in the FCB squad. Kicker journalist Georg Holzner claims this is because both clubs are in the process of organizing a loan arrangement for the teenage talent.

After a superb season for FCB II last year in which he collected 31 scorer points, Bayern have been seeking a loan locale for the youngster. Vidovic collected an assist off the bench in Bayern's 7-0 win over Bochum last weekend and had been linked with a loan-out over the course of the week.

Both Kicker and German tabloid Sport Bild have conveyed a long list of interested parties both abroad and in the German second division. Bayern nevertheless, it is reported, prefer a loan within the top flight. After shaking off interest from Hertha, the record champions are in the process of finalizing a loan to the West Prussian foals.

One potential stumbling block to the deal, the sources claim, is Gladbach's desire to build a purchase option into the contract. Bayern are said to be averse to allowing any potential out for a phenom they believe can develop along the lines of Jamal Musiala.

The loan may still go through as Gladbach are desperate for an economical way to augment their attack and thereby may be persuaded to drop their pursuit of the purchase option. A straight one-year-oloan could work out very well for both clubs.
