Harit officially rejoins Marseille on loan

Schalke's Amine Harit is returning to Marseille for a second consecutive loan.

Marseille have announced the return of Schalke midfielder Amine Harit on a season-long loan. The 25-year-old scored nine goals in 34 appearances last year on loan at the French club. If everything goes to plan, Harit is likely to sign a permanent deal after the season due to a favorable purchase option included in the contract.

Schalke were desperate to get the Moroccan international off their books due to his hefty salary. The winless newly-promoted side sit 16th in the Bundesliga table heading into Matchday 5.
