Hradecky: "Maybe that's a sign that we're slowly becoming a team"

Lukas Hradecky looked like his old self in Leverkusen's wild draw to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, as he praised the entire team after the hard-fought point.
It's been a challenging start to the season for Leverkusen's captain and keeper Lukas Hradecky, but he came up huge on Wednesday night. The 32-year-old endured an onslaught on goal in the second half and somehow saved Yannick Carrasco's controversial penalty way into extra time.

After the game, Hradecky stated, "I'm happy that I got the right corner. - Maybe that's a sign that we're slowly becoming a team; that we can get through difficult periods like this and not concede a goal in the end."

He added that, "I'm happy that we're slowly starting to understand what it takes to score against the strongest opponents."

Leverkusen play Leipzig this weekend before all eyes turn to their huge match against Club Brugge next week. Die Werkself need a win and some help from Porto to advance to the Europa League.
