However, Bayern have now allayed fears of Davies missing his country's first World Cup since 1986.
The German champions have confirmed today that the quick wide man has suffered a hamstring strain, which means he is set to miss Bayern's last two games of 2022 against Werder Bremen and Schalke 04.
In spite of this, his participation at the World Cup is not at risk, according to the Bundesliga outfit.
