Andrej Kramaric said Julian Nagelsmann robbed him of a 'unique chance' of continuing his goalscoring streak when he substituted him in the game against Gladbach.

When Hoffenheim coach Julian Nagelsmann took off Andrej Kramaric after just over an hour of Saturday's game against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the Croatian striker clearly wasn't happy.

Including his games for the national team, Kramaric had scored in nine games in a row in all tournaments and was eager to continue his impressive goalscoring run. Therefore, he was disappointed to be substituted.

"I'm really disappointed and very angry," Kramaric said according to SID and added:

"Such a series can only be achieved by Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. That's extraordinary, because they're both superhuman."

"Even with a broken leg, I would have stood next to the goal and waited for the ball to come."

Nagelsmann has said sorry to Kramaric and claims he didn't know anything about the streak.

"I'm so sorry, but I just didn't know," Nagelsmann told Bild and added:

"I would have let him down if I had known that, so I hugged him and apologized."

"It's over now. If he has to score nine goals again now, that's a good source of motivation," the Hoffenheim coach said.

Kramaric has netted 11 times in 19 appearances for Hoffenheim in all competitions this season.
