Reports: Three top-tier sides linked with January swoop for Immanuel Pherai

Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that an exit clause in the contract of Eintracht Braunschweig attacking midfielder Immanuel Pherai leaves the 21-year-old likely to be sold to a top-tier Bundesliga club during the current January transfer window.

Sport Bild's reporting confirms some information published earlier in the local Braunschweiger Zeitung, naming some specific clubs and a potential specific purchase price for the player.
Former BVB II prospect Immanuel Pherai joined Eintracht Braunschweig on a free this past summer. An impressive season in Germany's second division (five goals and five assists in 14 appearances for the BTSV) reportedly leaves at least three top-tier sides interested in bringing the the 21-year-old Dutch youth international up to the Bundesliga during the coming January transfer window.

The 2. Bundesliga club's local Braunschweiger Zeitung has long reported on a potential transfer for the Amsterdam native. It is thought that Pherai's current contract contains an exit clause that will allow him to depart for some €1 million this summer. As Pherai's star rises, the Lower Saxon club might find it hard to resist cashing in on him for up to €3 million in January.

Germany's main sporting tabloid, drawing upon some of the earlier reportage in the local newspaper, claims that at least three Bundesliga clubs are considering spending such a some. Company teams Bayer 04 Leverkusen, VfL Wolfsburg are linked with Pherai, as are Borussia Mönchengladbach.

BTSV sporting director Peter Vollmann recently confided that he had received interest in Pherai from top-flight clubs when speaking to the Braunschweiger Zeitung. The club executive noted that he could do little to stop better financially positioned clubs from knocking on the player's door.
