But it seems they can now breathe a sigh of relief, with Bild reporting that Mazraoui didn't pick up a serious injury.
According to the report, Bayern and the Moroccan football federation are relaxed about the right-back's fitness, as he only picked up a minor muscle injury.
Bayern were rocked by a more serious injury blow at the World Cup earlier this week as Lucas Hernandez suffered a cruciate ligament rupture.
