Frankfurt updates: "Top performers" to stay, Onguéné could head out on loan
Eintracht Frankfurt have no intentions of letting their "top performers" go, but Jerome Onguéné could head out on loan, says head coach Oliver Glasner.
Oliver Glasner has reiterated that Eintracht Frankfurt want to keep their biggest stars beyond the winter transfer window.
The likes of Kevin Trapp, Evan Ndicka and Daichi Kamada have been linked with January moves, but the Eintracht coach is convinced that none of the club's "top performers" will leave.
"You read a lot of things, I'm in communication with the players and I'm relaxed. There will be rumors throughout January," Glasner is quoted as saying by the club.
"[Eintracht board member for sport] Markus Krösche has made it clear: We don't want to let any top performers leave. And our players have told us that they want to stay and spend the second half of the season with us.
"The signals from the club and the players suggest that everyone will stay and let me sleep soundly."
The exception is Jerome Onguéné, who could move out on loan in search of more first-team football.
"In the case of Jérôme Onguéné, it's important that he gets match practice and gets into his rhythm - that's not guaranteed with us at the moment, which is why we're open to a loan," noted Glasner.
