Official: Schade leaves Freiburg for Brentford

Kevin Schade has completed his move from Brentford to Freiburg on an initial loan deal, which is expected to be made permanent in the summer.
Brentford FC have completed the signing of Kevin Schade on loan from Freiburg until the end of the season.

The Premier League outfit confirm that the deal is expected to be made permanent for a "club-record undisclosed fee" in the summer. According to reports, Brentford have an obligation to buy of around €25 million.

"I owe a lot to Freiburg. I became a Bundesliga player at Sport-Club and the club always stood behind me, even in difficult times," commented Schade.

"In England, I see the chance for the next step in my career. I definitely want to seize this opportunity."

The 21-year-old winger has featured 36 times for Freiburg's first team, scoring six goals and providing four assists.
