Some 13 months after he was signed on a free, Norwegian fullback Fredrik André Bjørkan is headed back to Bødo/Glimt in Norway. Hertha confirmed that the 24-year-old's current loan arrangement with Feyenoord Rotterdam had been terminated six months ahead of schedule. The seven-times capped international now returns to his hometown club on a free.

Bjørkan's short Bundesliga career spanned just nine appearances, seven of which were in relief, last spring. Bjørkan was loaned out to the Erdevisie prior to the start of the current campaign. He made just one appearance in the Dutch top flight. Talks to return the defender to Bødo had been ongoing for some time.

After sending Korean attacker Dong-Jun Un back to South Korea earlier this month, Hertha personnel boss Fredi Bobic has reversed course on two of his own signings from the previous January transfer window. Current whispers suggest that the club's sporting CEO wishes to pull the plug on summer 2022 signing Myziane Maolida as well.
