According to Sky Germany, 'Die Fohlen' are in advanced talks to extend the promising 21-year-old goalkeeper's deal, which expires in 2023.
Olschowsky made his Bundesliga debut in November and has featured two times for the first team so far.
The young goalkeeper could have an important role to play for Gladbach in the future, with Yann Sommer expected to leave in the summer at the latest.
