Bundesliga team of the week – Matchday 17

Mario Götze has been included in our team of the week after he arguably put in his best performance of the season so far in the 2-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Matchday 17 – team of the week (4-1-3-2):

Goalkeeper: Lukas Hradecky, Bayer Leverkusen
Made a total of nine saves and was instrumental for Leverkusen's 3-1 win over Hertha BSC.

Right-back: Lukas Klostermann, RB Leipzig (2)
Especially in the first half, Klostermann seemed to be everywhere in RB Leipzig's 3-2 win over Werder Bremen in which scored his side's opener with a wonderful shot from distance.

Centre-back: Benjamin Hübner, Hoffenheim
Was among Hoffenheim's best players in the 1-1 draw with Mainz. Won six duels and always looked calm and focused.

Centre-back: Niklas Süle, Bayern München
The German international was rock solid in the 3-0 win over Frankfurt. Calm with the ball at his feet and distributed it well.

Left-back: Bastian Oczipka, Schalke 04
Had an impressive game on the left against Stuttgart and set up two goals.

Central midfielder: Kerim Demirbay, Hoffenheim (2)
Demirbay's importance for Hoffenheim is hard to overestimate. Pulled the strings in midfield and scored his side's only goal in the 1-1 draw with Mainz.

Right midfielder: Jadon Sancho, Borussia Dortmund (3)
With his pace and nifty dribbling, the English international was hard to control for the Gladbach defence. Scored the opener after some great work.

Offensive midfielder: Kai Havertz, Bayer Leverkusen (3)
Havertz just keeps on impressing. This time, the 19-year-old scored a brace in Leverkusen's 3-1 win over Hertha BSC.

Left midfielder: Franck Ribery, Bayern München
The French winger rounds of 2018 in excellent form. Scored twice in the 3-0 win over Frankfurt.

Striker: Mario Götze, Borussia Dortmund
In what was Götze's 200th Bundesliga game, the 26-year-old replaced Paco Alcacer early on and delivered his best performance of the season. Made two assists in the 2-1 win over Gladbach.

Striker: Steven Skrzybski, Schalke 04
Clearly Schalke's man of the match in the 3-1 win over VfB Stuttgart in which he scored and made an assist.
