Hoffenheim are understood to be closing in on a deal to sign Sevilla midfielder Thomas Delaney.

According to Sky Germany, the former Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund player has agreed to join Hoffenheim.

It's now up to the two clubs to find an agreement before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, with a loan deal looking likely.

31-year-old Delaney left Dortmund to sign for Sevilla in the summer of 2021. He has started just five games this season.

At Hoffenheim, he could link up with fellow Danes Jacob Bruun Larsen, Robert Skov and Kasper Dolberg.
