Report: Baumgartl to finish season at Union

Despite his wish for more playing time, Sky reports that Union defender Timo Baumgartl will stay at the club until his loan ends following the season.
On loan at the capital club from PSV, center-back Timo Baumgartl has only been able to make four appearances this campaign. After reportedly sharing his wishes to leave the club, coach Urs Fischer has requested that Baumgartl see out the rest of his loan according to Sky.

Baumgartl overcame a testicular cancer diagnosis in the summer and has admirably returned to the team. It's unlikely that Union will use the option to buy clause in his loan deal once the season ends.

If that's the case, Baumgartl may have to look for a new home once again. According to Sky, it won't be in the winter.
