For some time now, Eintracht Frankfurt have made no secret of their desire to hold on to Ansgar Knauff beyond his loan spell.

However, Borussia Dortmund are open to bringing the 21-year-old wide man back, with BVB coach Edin Terzic recently saying that "the clear plan is for him to return to us in the summer".

As reported by Bild, the first talks between the two clubs are due to take place soon, but a decision before the end of the month would come as a surprise.

Per the report, Eintracht don't want to meet Dortmund's asking price of €10 million, but are hoping to sign Knauff for a lower fee.

Knauff has spent the last year at Eintracht Frankfurt, featuring 39 times with four goals and four assists to his name.
