Official: Olschowsky extends Gladbach deal

Promising Gladbach goalkeeper Jan Olschowsky has signed a new deal with the club.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have agreed a contract extension with Jan Olschowsky.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper's contract, which was due to expire this summer, has been extended until 2027, per the report.

"Jan has been with us since the U9s and in the first half of the season he fulfilled the dream of many younger players by making his Bundesliga debut," commented Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus.

"He has proven at the highest level, whether it’s in training or in a game, that he is a real talent and that we can completely rely upon him. We are convinced that he can develop in the best possible way with us."

Olschowsky, Gladbach's second-choice goalkeeper, is behind Jonas Omlin in the pecking order.

The young goalkeeper has featured two times for the senior side this season.
