Kamada to Dortmund links inaccurate

It would appear that, once again, rumors of Daichi Kamada's imminent move to Borussia Dortmund are false. Some two weeks ago, the local Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper reported that the 26-year-old had agreed to move to the BVB on a free transfer once his current contract expires at the end of the season.

Both Sky Germany and Germany's main sporting tabloid now report that this is untrue. The sources claim that the €30-million-valued attacker still wants to leverage his cache in the interest of making a more prominent step-up; quite possibly to the Isle. It is said that Kamada feels himself ready for a jump up to the Premiership.

"Sport Bild" goes so far as to write that Kamada "doesn't wish to settle for Dortmund." Sky insists that the player and his agent have made no firm decision one way or the other as pertains to Kamada's future. The 26-times-capped international has been tendered a contract extension by his current club; a proposal SGE sporting director Markus Krösche has noted constitutes a final offer.
