Fantasy Bundesliga:
Must-haves and differentials for Matchday 26

By Christian Andrick

Ahead of Matchday 26, we have highlighted a must-have player (M) and a differential pick (D) from each game that you should consider for your Fantasy Bundesliga team.

Eintracht Frankfurt v. VfL Bochum 1848:

M: Manuel Riemann, Keeper (BOC, 7.7M, 8%) - Riemann and Bochum have been fantastic the last two matches. They have secured wins and clean sheets in both, which has moved them above the relegation zone. Riemann has scored 30 Fantasy points over those two and should continue his fine form against an out of sorts Frankfurt squad.

D: Aurélio Buta, Defender (SGE, 3.8M, 1%) - Buta has managed to score at least seven Fantasy points in three of the last four matches despite Frankfurt being winless in all of them. It is always a good sign when a player can make the most out of nothing so there is big hope of a payday if they can right the ship.

RB Leipzig v. 1. FSV Mainz 05:

M: André Silva, Forward (RBL, 14.4M, 4%) - Silva has been close to scoring the last two matches racking up nine shots with three on target. He scored 16 Fantasy points over those games without scoring as well. His last goal was on January 24th so he will be going the extra mile to finally break that ugly streak.

D: Andreas Hanche-Olsen, Defender (M05, 5.2M, 0%) - Since joining from Gent, Hanche-Olsen has started all nine matches and looks like he has been in the Bundesliga his entire career. His Fantasy numbers have been great as well, scoring 25 points over his last three matches with a double digit haul of 12 on matchday 23.

1. FC Union Berlin v. VfB Stuttgart:

M: Frederik Rønnow, Keeper (FCU, 7.2M, 16%) - Union are on the rebound and Stuttgart are drowning at the bottom, leaving hardly any chance for Stuttgart to come away with anything in the match. Rønnow has double digit Fantasy points in two of his last three matches for a total of 29 over that span.

D: Kevin Behrens, Forward (FCU, 5.3M, 0%) - Behrens scored a goal last match against Frankfurt and has another solid opportunity to match the same success. He is almost guaranteed to start with Sheraldo Becker presumably out with an illness.

Sport-Club Freiburg v. Hertha BSC:

M: Ritsu Dōan, Midfielder (SCF, 10.2M, 12%) - Dōan is the man of the moment at Freiburg, scoring a goal in each of Freiburg’s last two league matches. He has amassed 26 Fantasy points during that time and has another prime fixture against struggling Hertha.

D: Nicolas Höfler, Midfielder (SCF, 7.3M, 0%) - Höfler will certainly start again in the midfield and could sneak up on managers with a really strong performance. He has taken three shots in their last two matches and Hertha’s defense has been anything but stellar.

VfL Wolfsburg v. FC Augsburg:

M: Omar Marmoush. Forward (WOB, 7.3M, 3%) - Marmoush has been lights out the last three matches, scoring double digit points in all three for 33 total points. He only has two goals to speak of for all those points so he is hitting the marks in other areas of the game as well.

D: Arne Maier, Midfielder (FCA, 6.1M, 0%) - Maier is playing some of his best football at the moment. He has scored twice in the last three matches for a total of 22 Fantasy points over that time frame.

FC Schalke 04 v. Bayer 04 Leverkusen:

M: Moussa Diaby, Forward (B04, 15.2M, 7%) - Leverkusen are on cloud nine, three wins a row and taking down Bayern most recently. Diaby and the rest of the team should have no issues against a rising but still mismatched Schalke squad.

D: Kerem Demirbay, Midfielder (B04, 11.7M, 0%) - A goal or an assist in league play is surely to come for Demirbay, having been impressive in many matches. He will continue to dominate the set piece duties as always.

FC Bayern München v. Borussia Dortmund

M: Marco Reus, Midfielder (BVB, 16.2M, 21%) - Pick your poison in this top of the table clash. Reus finally pushes Dortmund into a commanding lead and it is all but theirs to lose this season.

D: Thomas Müller, Forward (FCB, 15.9M, 4%) - Hardly any differentials in this match but Müller is always a solid selection anyways. He could easily have a big match like any of the other stars.

1. FC Köln v. Borussia Mönchengladbach:

M: Jonas Hofmann, Midfielder (BMG, 17M, 47%) - Both teams are in a bit of a freefall at the moment, especially Köln. You can always count on Hofmann to have a solid game, however. Last match he had an outstanding 23 Fantasy points, 10 points alone in the Passes to a shot category.

D: Florian Neuhaus, Midfielder (BMG, 11.3M, 1%) - Bets are on Gladbach to be the better team in this matchup. Neuhaus finally had his breakout game of this season last matchday after multiple setbacks throughout the previous year. Being fit and healthy could be a huge boost to the whole squad.

SV Werder Bremen v. TSG Hoffenheim:

M: Niclas Füllkrug, Forward (SVW, 9.7M, 57%) - Füllkrug has been on fire lately, scoring two goals and grabbing two assists in his last four matches. Hoffenheim finally broke out of their funk last matchday but that doesn't spell the end to their troubles.

D: Ihlas Bebou, Forward (TSG, 10M, 0%) - If Hoffenheim don't want last matchday’s win to be an outlier and regress back to their losing ways, they must start scoring more goals. Bebou has shown many times he is capable so it’s time to start producing.
