Report: Bayern and Barcelona join race for Frimpong

Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona are said to have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong has reportedly attracted the interest of a number of top European clubs.

Having been linked with Manchester United for some time, Frimpong has now caught the eye of Bayern Munich and Barcelona too, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian transfer market insider claims that, alongside Man United, Bayern and Barca have held talks with Frimpong's agent, Jeffrey Lemmert.

However, before going any further, Bayern want to wait until May to make a decision on whether to activate the €70 million buyout option in Manchester City loanee Joao Cancelo's loan deal instead.
