Sport Bild Report: Two Glaswegian sides track Huseinbasic

Germany's mains sporting tabloid reports that Scotland's two major Glaswegian clubs are interested in acquiring Germany U21 international Denis Huseinbasic.
Since joining 1. FC Köln from German fourth-tier side Kickers Offenbach last summer, Denis Huseinbasic has seen his estimated market worth rise ten-fold from €500,000 to €5 million. The cathedral city side themselves paid only €50,000 for the newly capped Germany U21 international. Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Glasgow's two sides, Celtic and Rangers, are interested in the 21-year-old.

In a report appearing on the website of "Sport Bild", the tabloid also claims that clubs from England and France are interested in Huseinbasic. The paper notes that footballing consultant agencies are currently knocking down the youngster's down. At present, Huseinbasic is represented by a close family friend.

Geißböcke trainer Steffen Baumgart has repeatedly emphasized his desire to keep the rising start, who still has a contract good through 2025. Köln themselves are still fighting a ban on incoming transfers stemming from their signing of Jaka Cuber Potocnik from NK Olimpija Ljubljana. The German club has filed an appeal to the court of international arbitration for sport (CAS).

As reported recently by the "Kölnishce Rundschau", Köln are expecting to learn whether a temporary injunction on incoming transfers will be granted this coming Monday. Germany's Kicker Magazine has confirmed this report. At the very least, CAS plans to issue a press release on the matter after the weekend.
