Boateng ponders possible retirement

After being relegated with Hertha BSC last season, Kevin-Prince Boateng is now considering whether to continue playing or retire.
Kevin-Prince Boateng wants to make a decision soon about whether to continue his playing career.

"I have to see what is best for me, what my body can still give. I will make a statement in two weeks," said the 36-year-old, according to DPA.

The Berlin-born midfielder was unable to prevent Hertha BSC from being relegated last season and is now free on the market. Recently, there have been rumors of offers from abroad.

"I'm still in a phase where I'm waiting to see what happens next," Boateng explained.

"The last few weeks and months have been difficult for me. That's why I told all the parties that I needed a bit of a break, that I wanted to go on vacation. But something will be decided in the next two weeks and then I will announce it."

Boateng has played for a long list of clubs in his career, including Tottenham, AC Milan, Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt.
